What I like about my American life is that I know for sure that I have a chance at success. It’s this simple: I have goals and I know there are ways to acheive them. I might not know what the future holds, but I can try and keep trying to get something.
That is what this life provides that my other life didn’t. Even though I was still a child in Iran, I know that if I’d stayed, I couldn’t have gotten anywhere, unless I was a genious(which believe me I’m not). I’m not saying it was going to be impossible, but my chances of making success(with money of course) would have been very slim. My point is there are many who think American life is nothing but work work work, but it is not. First of all, you work but you get the money you deserve. Second of all, you can go to college at pretty much any age. So you can actually start a life and have fun at the same time.
Doors are open, you just have to find a way in.
