She walks out of the laundry room, a black bra in her hand, and sees Mrs. X, her elder neighbor whom she doesn’t remember the name of. They greet each other and talk about the weather again. This time it’s about how cold and windy it is. Mrs. X assures her that she will not go out in this wind. Allison wants to tell Mrs. X that it’s a beautiful day anyway, despite the wind, that the sun is out and that it couldn’t be a better day. But she wants to be in agreement today so she nods her head as Mrs. X complains about the cold. Right before they part, Allison notices Mrs. X’s haircut and mentions that she likes it.
Then Mrs. X goes off to throw her trash down the chute. And Allison goes back to her apartment with the black bra.
