Set during the American Civil war between the north and south, this tale of love and loss is very inspiring. Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweger,who won the oscar for supporting actress,give their best performances. Jude Law also stars as Kidman’s lover who is sent to war and fights to return to his love.

Cold Mountain is a story about the love that’s found even after all the horrible things that happen during this tragic war. After all, hope and love is the only thing that can keep us alive even during hard times. The past can’t be changed and hearts won’t be healed, but we must find love once again.
